Please give an explanation of the ideas/themes behind the works that you will be showing?
The etching seeks to revisit the past. It questions ideas associated with contemporary views of the Modernist legacy, whether utopian or dystopian. The work deals with history, temporality, presence and surface.

What were your inspirations behind the pieces that are being shown?
I’m often overwhelmed when I experience iconic buildings from the twentieth century, and underwhelmed when I walk around London and see all the new buildings. I want to investigate why this should be.

What do you hope your audience will take away from your work?
An enjoyment of the printed surface. Perhaps a reflection on what they might consider interesting architecture.

What inspires you particularly about the medium you currently work in?
It has so much potential to experiment and is incredibly physical.

What would you like to achieve through your work?
A sense of creating something arresting and contemplative.
